Dr. Cortney Herndon, DPT, COMT

Dr. Herndon is a dedicated Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in the rehabilitation and performance enhancement of active individuals and athletes in Danville, VA. With a deep passion for helping people recover from injury, prevent setbacks, and optimize their movement, Dr. Herndon combines evidence-based treatment with a personalized, hands-on approach to ensure each patient reaches their full potential.

 

Drawing from extensive experience in treating all orthopedic injuries and post surgical clients, Dr. Herndon works with athletes and individuals of all levels-from weekend warriors to elite competitors-to improve strength, mobility, and function.

 

Whether it's recovering from an injury, addressing chronic pain, or enhancing athletic performance, Dr. Herndon provides tailored care that ensures her clients reach their goals. As the founder and owner of Fit & Function, she strives to impact the lives of people in the small town of Danville, VA where she was raised-one patient at a time.

Dr. Patti P. Snead, PT, DPT

Dr. Snead is a pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapist and she has a passion for helping people continue to be active and do everything they want to do. She was born and raised in Danville, VA and strives to give back to the community that helped raise her. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Chowan University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2007. She began specialized training in pelvic health in 2015 and continues with additional specialty areas each year. She enjoys spending time with her family.

Chase Scarce

Chase is a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant and performance trainer with extensive experience in human biomechanics, rehabilitation, and athletic development. He blends evidence-based physical therapy with sport-specific training to help clients—from recreational athletes to high-level competitors—build strength, improve movement, and achieve long-term performance goals. Chase also specializes in peri- and post-menopausal training, offering effective, research-driven weight loss and strength programs for this population.

With a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Chase is committed to continual professional growth, holding certifications in Functional Movement Systems, SFMA, nutrition for physical therapy, and personal training. His integrated, client-centered approach focuses on functional movement, corrective exercise, and sustainable results. Chase is dedicated to empowering individuals to recover fully, perform better, and thrive in everyday life.
